Fillers are devices injected into or under the skin that have a “filling” or “firming” effect. When the face has lost volume or firmness, fillers can be used to restore the skin or contour.
Today, only the use of safe, biodegradable fillers is allowed. The most commonly used fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, such as Restylane and Juvederm. Hyaluronic acid is already naturally present in large quantities in our bodies and, among other things, helps retain moisture in the skin.
Fillers are used to beautify facial contours or make lips fuller, for example. This filling effect is the result of injections under the skin. To improve firmness, superficial injections, into the skin, are more effective. Op dit onderscheid is de werking van de Fern Pattern Technique gebaseerd. A careful assessment of your face is important to determine which combinations of injection techniques will give the best results.
