Het is vijf jaar geleden gelukt om een locatie in de hoofdstad te vinden die aan al mijn eisen voldoet; understated chic op een steenworp afstand van het Vondelpark. Een zee van licht. Goed aan te rijden vanaf het centrum, zuid of de ring A10. Veel rust, privacy en voldoende parkeergelegenheid.

Om ruimte te bieden aan de twee door mij opgeleide artsen ben ik samen met Plastisch Chirurg Bart Stubenitsky ‘Tom and Bart Esthetics’ begonnen; injectables volgens dezelfde filosofie en werkwijze als in mijn eigen kliniek. Meer spreekuren, dus kortere wachttijd en meer mogelijkheden tot het maken van een afspraak.

Perfect. Wat verwacht je als je door iemand injecties laat zetten? Dat die persoon volledig 'in control' is. Tom is een professional, weet precies waar hij mee bezig is en zijn droge humor maakt het af. Assistente Jeannette is een hartstikke leuk mens en denkt altijd in mogelijkheden als ik wil komen. Al moet ik er in de toekomst 800 kilometer voor rijden, ik blijf terugkomen!
Soms heb je van die fases dat je jezelf er opeens slecht uit vindt zien. In mijn geval vanwege een tijdelijke dip. Dus ik dacht dat ik een profilo behandeling nodig had.... Enfin, afspraak gemaakt bij Tom van Eijk en op moment supreme vond ik eigenlijk dat het allemaal reuze mee viel. Tom bemerkte mijn twijfel en zei direct, bij twijfel niet doen. Hij vond het ook niet echt nodig. Dus ik stond zo weer buiten. Mocht ik het ooit wel echt nodig denken te hebben dan weet ik waar ik heen ga. Wat een fijne, integere man!

Born in 1969, based in Amsterdam, Dr. Tom van Eijk is one of Holland’s most famed cosmetic doctors and internationally an authority on injectable fillers, speaking at conferences around the world for over two decades.
He started his study to become a medical doctor at the University of Nijmegen but chose to graduate at the University of Amsterdam. There he did research on resorbable bio compatible materials in Experimental Surgery and hereditary skin diseases in Plastic Surgery. After gaining surgical skills in Cardio-thoracic Surgery, Dr. van Eijk then began to focus on Plastic Surgery, gathering three years of experience. In 2003 Dr. Tom van Eijk decided to concentrate on cosmetic injectables and started teaching in The Netherlands from 2005, (Restylane® and Botox®), Belgium (Dysport®) and developed the Fern Pattern TechniqueTM, introducing it in Sweden in the Fall of 2005.
The article on the topic was in the August 2007 issue of the New York Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. This Journal also published the article about his Lip Tenting Technique. The success of Restylane Fern Pattern Technique TM is evident, as Dr. van Eijk has presented this technique all over the world, from Vancouver to Manila, from Stockholm to Hong Kong.
From 2016 most of his workshops are organized via the Tom van Eijk Academy concept. Independent of the dermal filler manufactures these intimate hands on workshops provide an unbiased platform for teaching advanced facial assessment and injection techniques.
